Though Christmas is most often a joyous, wonder-filled season, it can also be a stark reminder that someone is missing from your table. Someone very dear to you.
When your gaze falls to the empty chair, remember why Jesus came. He came to give us life. With his birth, he began the rescue mission for our souls, securing for us a seat at His banquet table in heaven.
We will see our beloveds again one day. For now, we cling to the hope found only in the person and finished work of our Savior, Jesus.
